Region Europe is an inter-disciplinary program pursuing a comprehensive knowledge of the European model of regional integration, its evolution in the framework of the political, economic, social and cultural processes in the region, and the features of the EU as a global actor.
The Program, taught in English, will run from 27 October to 21 November 2025. Students are entitled to 3, 6 or 9 (3+6) CFU according to the number of lectures hours they will attend (20, 40, 60 respectively).
Region Europe offers:
60 hours lesson taught in English, focused on three broad themes: a) Europe's profile: Political, economic, social and cultural features of Europe; b) the European way to regionalism: Hitorical, political, economic features of European integration; c) Europe in the world: EU Foreign policy and interregional relations;
Europe from Outside Seminars: series of 6 seminars on the EU role in the world and the external perceptions of the EU as a global actor, involving professors from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas;
EU Voices Seminars: series of 8 seminars on the EU seen from its member states, institutions, stakeholders;
Extra-academic activities: visit to the European Institutions and NATO headquarters in Brussels.
A multi-cultural environment: the program will be attended by students from European and non-European Universities (China, Philippines, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa) in partnership with the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society.
